This kit is perfect for crafting lamp stands or performing spindle work on a lathe. When the lathe is running, start drilling into the workpiece through the tailstock and Hollow rotating centre in small increments until you reach about the halfway point. Next, take out the workpiece, swap the pointed tip on the drive centre with the counterbore piece, and place the drilled hole in the workpiece over the counterbore. Use the centring rod via the tailstock to centre the workpiece on the undrilled end while tightening the tailstock. Then, finish drilling through the rest of the workpiece. Using this Rotur Long Hole Boring Kit is easy. First, make sure your lathe is running. Start drilling into the workpiece through the tailstock and the Hollow rotating centre little by little until you're about halfway. Then, remove the workpiece. Swap the pointed tip on the drive centre with the counterbore piece and put the drilled hole of the workpiece over the counterbore. Use the centring rod through the tailstock to centre the workpiece on the undrilled end while tightening the tailstock. Finally, keep drilling until you're done with the whole workpiece. When using, always wear safety goggles to protect your eyes. After each use, clean the bits and centres with a dry cloth. Store the kit in a dry place to prevent rusting.
