DESCRIPTION

Corefix 120 comes in a pack of 24 with a length of 120mm. It's specially designed to quickly and safely fix heavy loads onto plasterboard (dot and dab) cavity walls. This product has been independently tested to securely support loads up to 100 kg. Installing Corefix is a breeze! You don't need any specialist tools, just a 10mm drill, a hammer, and a screwdriver. Originally crafted to safely secure wall - hung kitchen cabinets, Corefix fixings are now a go - to solution for supporting various heavy loads on hollow cavity walls. These include large flat - screen TVs, sanitary ware products, boilers, and radiators. Corefix works by using a steel core fixing to bridge the gap between the plasterboard and the solid wall behind. This prevents the plasterboard from being crushed and collapsing into the void, which is a common problem with other cavity wall fixings under pressure. With Corefix, the load is supported by the solid wall behind the plasterboard cavity. All Corefix components are engineered to a high standard, and the steel core is plated to resist corrosion.

Using Corefix is simple. First, gather a 10mm drill, a hammer, and a screwdriver. Drill a hole in the plasterboard at the desired location. Then, insert the Corefix into the hole and tap it gently with the hammer until it's secure. Finally, use the screwdriver to attach your heavy item, like a TV or a cabinet. When using Corefix, make sure to follow the weight limit of 100 kg. Don't overload the fixings as it may cause them to fail. Also, ensure that the drill hole is the correct size. For maintenance, there's not much to do. Just check the fixings occasionally to make sure they're still tight and in good condition. If you notice any signs of corrosion, since the steel core is plated, it should resist it well, but in rare cases, you may need to replace the fixing.
