DESCRIPTION

Corefix 100 with a 100mm length is a game - changer for fixing heavy loads on plasterboard (dot and dab) cavity walls. It has passed independent tests and can safely support up to 100 kg of weight. You don't need any special tools to install it; just a 10mm drill, a hammer, and a screwdriver will do the job quickly and easily. Originally crafted for wall - hung kitchen cabinets, Corefix fixings are now the go - to solution for various heavy - load applications on hollow cavity walls, such as large flat - screen TVs, sanitary ware products, boilers, and radiators. How does it work? Corefix uses a steel core fixing to bridge the space between the plasterboard and the solid wall behind. This prevents the plasterboard from being crushed and collapsing into the void, a common problem with other cavity wall fixings under pressure. With Corefix, the solid wall behind the plasterboard cavity bears the load. All Corefix components are of high - quality engineering, and the steel core is plated to resist corrosion. Check out the product video to learn more!

Using Corefix is a breeze. First, grab a 10mm drill, a hammer, and a screwdriver. Drill a hole in the plasterboard where you want to place the fixing. Then, insert the Corefix into the hole and use the hammer to gently tap it in. Finally, use the screwdriver to secure your heavy item. When using Corefix, make sure to follow the weight limit of 100 kg to ensure safety. Don't use it on surfaces other than plasterboard (dot and dab) cavity walls. As for maintenance, since the steel core is plated for corrosion resistance, you don't need to do much. Just keep an eye on it over time, and if you notice any signs of wear or damage, replace the fixing right away.
