DESCRIPTION
The Rotur mini drive centres are ideal for all kinds of spindle work. With a 9mm - diameter head, it sticks out more from the Morse taper and has a slimmer shaft compared to regular drive centres. The centre point projects further than the prongs, making quick and easy alignment a breeze. The sharp point and prongs can effortlessly pierce the timber for a firm hold. The 4 - prong head is great for squared spindle ends, as each prong penetrates the timber equally for maximum grip. You can easily remove these centres from the lathe using the Rotur knockout bar (TKO265). These drive centres are crafted from high - quality EN8M Steel. Their one - piece design stops the integral points from coming loose. They are available in 1MT and 2MT and are made in the UK by Planet Plus Ltd. The 2MT model number is 0942.
Using your Rotur mini drive centre is quite simple. First, make sure your lathe is turned off. Then, insert the drive centre into the lathe. If you're working on squared spindle ends, the 4 - prong head will give you the best grip. Just place the centre on the workpiece and let the sharp point and prongs dig into the timber. When you're done, use the Rotur knockout bar (TKO265) to remove the centre from the lathe. As for maintenance, keep it clean after each use. Wipe off any sawdust or debris. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust. And always be careful when handling the sharp point and prongs to avoid injuries.
