DESCRIPTION
The Rotur Hollow Ring Centre features a 5/8” diameter head with a 5/16” bore. When you take out the centre point, it becomes super handy for boring long holes. The sharp ring centre stops wood from splitting and can serve as a tail centre. It comes complete with a removable point centre and a hex key. These Rotur lathe centres are crafted from top - notch EN8M Steel. The one - piece design ensures the integral ring won't come loose. Available in 1MT and 2MT options, and proudly made in the UK by Planet Plus Ltd. The 1MT model is identified as 5161B.
Using the Rotur Hollow Ring Centre is easy. First, make sure you have the right model for your lathe, either 1MT or 2MT. If you need to bore long holes, simply remove the centre point. When using it as a tail centre, place it securely in the right position on your lathe. Be careful when working with wood as the ring centre is sharp, so avoid accidental cuts. For maintenance, keep it clean and dry after each use. You can use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or debris. If it gets rusty, use a light oil to prevent further corrosion. Store it in a safe place where it won't get damaged.
