The Rotur Hollow Ring Centre features a 5/8 - inch diameter head and a 5/16 - inch bore. When you take out the centre point, it's great for boring long holes. The sharp ring centre stops wood from splitting and can double as a tail centre. It comes with a removable point centre and a hex key. These Rotur lathe centres are crafted from top - notch EN8M Steel. The one - piece design keeps the integral ring firmly in place. Available in 1MT and 2MT sizes, they are proudly made in the UK by Planet Plus Ltd. The 2MT model is identified as 5162B.
Using the Rotur Hollow Ring Centre is quite simple. First, make sure you have the right size for your lathe, either 1MT or 2MT. If you need to bore long holes, just remove the centre point with the included hex key. Then, you can start your boring operation. When using it as a tail centre, the sharp ring centre will prevent the wood from splitting. As for maintenance, keep it clean after each use.
