The 2 - prong drive centres are great for timber with uneven ends, while the 4 - prong ones are better for squared spindle ends, ensuring each prong penetrates the timber evenly for maximum grip. You can easily remove these centres from the lathe using the Rotur knockout bar (TKO265). Made from high - quality EN8M Steel with a one - piece design, these drive centres prevent the integral points from coming loose. Using this Rotur drive centre is easy. First, select the right type of drive centre based on your timber's end shape - 2 - prong for uneven ends and 4 - prong for squared ends. Then, align the centre point with the timber. The centre point protruding more than the prongs makes this alignment quick. Place the drive centre on the lathe.
