Using the Makita DLX2414ST LXT Brushless Combi Twin Kit is easy. First, charge the two 18V 5ah batteries using the included charger. Once charged, insert a battery into either the DHP487 drill or the DTD157 impact driver. For the drill, select the appropriate torque setting according to your project. If you're drilling into wood, you can use larger drill bits up to 36 mm. For masonry, concrete, or steel, stick to bits up to 13 mm. The electronic brake will stop the drill quickly when you're done. The impact driver is great for tightening bolts. You can use it on standard bolts from M5 - M14. Just adjust the speed and let it do the work.
When using these tools, always wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from debris. Also, make sure you're in a well - ventilated area, especially when drilling into materials. Don't overload the tools. If you feel the tool is struggling, stop and check if you're using the right bit or setting.
For maintenance, after each use, wipe down the tools with a clean, dry cloth. Check the battery contacts for any dirt or debris and clean them if necessary. Store the tools in the included plastic carry case when not in use. This will protect them from damage and keep all the parts together.
