To use, start the lathe and slowly drill into the workpiece through the tailstock and Hollow rotating centre in small increments until you reach about the halfway point. Then, take out the workpiece, swap the pointed tip on the drive centre with the counterbore piece, and place the drilled hole of the workpiece over the counterbore. Use the centring rod through the tailstock to centre the undrilled end of the workpiece while tightening the tailstock. After that, keep drilling through the rest of the workpiece. This kit includes a Piloted Drive 1 4 Prong, a Hollow Rotating Centre with Centring Rod, and a Lip and Spur Drill Bit – Long Series 5/16 x 24. The 2MT model is designated as LHBKD2.
