DESCRIPTION

Sharpen your favorite chisel or plane iron blade effortlessly with the Planet Honing Guide. Simply place the tool in the guide, adjust it to match your grinding angle, and tighten. The guide smoothly rolls on the stone, keeping the blade's edge in contact. After just a few strokes, you'll get a super sharp edge. This guide can hold tools from 2mm to 65mm wide at a consistent angle. To use the guide: First, make sure the roller can spin freely. Remember to oil and clean it after each use. When honing a plane iron, use the wider jaws. To set it at a 25° angle, let the end stick out 50 mm (2') from the jaw edge. For a 30° angle, project the end 38 mm (1 - 1/2') from the jaw edge. When honing a wood chisel, use the narrow jaws. To hold it at a 25° angle, project the end 40 mm (1 - 5/8') from the jaw edge. For a 30° angle, project the end 30 mm (1 - 3/16') from the jaw edge. These measurements are marked on the guide for fast and easy sharpening. This product comes in a 30 - pack: HG330.

Using the Planet Honing Guide is a breeze. First, ensure the roller rotates freely. After you're done using it, clean and oil the roller to keep it in good shape. When you want to sharpen a plane iron, use the wider jaws. For a 25 - degree angle, let the end of the iron stick out about 50 mm from the edge of the jaws. If you need a 30 - degree angle, make it stick out 38 mm. When working on a wood chisel, switch to the narrow jaws. For a 25 - degree angle, have the end of the chisel project 40 mm from the jaw edge, and for 30 degrees, 30 mm. The marked measurements on the guide make sharpening quick and simple. Just roll the guide on the stone with the blade's edge touching it, and after a few strokes, your blade will be razor - sharp.
