The Planet Centre Locator is a remarkable tool that can precisely detect the edge of your workpiece on a milling machine. It comes in two types, with probes crafted from nonmagnetic aluminium - bronze. This special material allows the tool to maintain high accuracy even when the workpiece is magnetized. For instance, when using a magnetic chuck to hold the work, traditional steel probes often lose accuracy prematurely. The spherical probe is perfect for flat vertical surfaces, while the cylindrical probe is great for round workpieces. Using the Planet Centre Locator is easy. First, choose the right probe for your workpiece - the spherical one for flat vertical surfaces and the cylindrical one for round work.
